Oh-so-easy Tomato Cream Soup

This recipe comes from my sister Lora Sullivan. As the title says, it is oh so easy and good.

2 cups milk
1 14oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup fresh chopped basil or 2-4 teaspoons dry basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Place all ingredients in a blender; cover and process until smooth.
Transfer to a large saucepan and heat through.
