I got this recipe from a lady in my last ward some 6 years ago. I don't even remember her name. I've since adapted it to fit my tastes and cooking style. My family loves it.
1 pound of hamburger
1 onion chopped
1 package taco seasoning
1-32oz can pinto bean
2 cups water
2 cans corn-undrained
1 can tomato sauce
16 oz jar or 14 1/2 can stewed tomatoes
- Brown the hamburger and onion, then drain off the grease.
- Put the hamburger and onion in a stock pot. Add in the rinsed pinto beans.
- Mix in the taco seasoning, corn, tomato sauce, water and stewed tomatoes.
- Simmer for about 30 minuter.
- Serve with corn chips, grated cheese, and sour cream.
