Cake
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream
Frosting
1 cup butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 cups powdered sugar
dash of salt
1 cup chopped pecans
- Put butter and water in a large bowl.
- Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
- Stir until the butter in melted.
- Add sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir with a wire whisk until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
- Stir in sour cream until it is all blended.
- Pour into a 11x17 inch baking sheet that has been greased and flour.
- Bake at 375 for 20-25 ,minutes.
- Remove from the oven and make frosting.
- Cook butter and milk in microwave for 3-4 minutes. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and dash of salt.
- Beat until smooth.
- Add nuts and gently spread on warm cake.
